Privacy policy.

Last updated July 27, 2026. How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Slick Licks Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through slicklickslabs.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Account information: name, email address, password
  • Order information: shipping address, billing address, phone number
  • Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers
  • Communications: messages you send us via contact forms, email, or customer support
  • Mailing list information: your email address, if you sign up for drop alerts

What we do not collect: we do not ask for, and have no way to receive through this Site, information about your health, your recovery, your housing situation, or any other personal circumstances. We do not operate an assistance or treatment program and we hold no health information about anyone.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system)
  • Usage data (pages visited, time on Site, referring URLs)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookies)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill orders, including shipping and payment
  • Create and manage your account
  • Communicate with you about orders, promotions, and updates (you may opt out of marketing emails at any time)
  • Improve and maintain the Site
  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share certain information with advertising and analytics companies as described below, which some laws treat as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site — payment processing (Stripe), shipping carriers (USPS), email delivery (Google Workspace), and hosting (Render) — solely to perform services on our behalf
  • Advertising and analytics partners — we use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API (Facebook/Instagram advertising) and Google Analytics. These receive information about your visit, and for purchases may receive a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address, along with order value and general location, so we can measure and target our advertising
  • Legal and safety purposes — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

You can limit this by using your browser’s tracking protections or an ad blocker, by adjusting your ad settings directly with Meta and Google, or by emailing us at help@slicklickslabs.com and asking us to stop sharing your information for advertising.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after, unless you request deletion sooner.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site (keeping you signed in, remembering your cart and theme choice), and to understand how visitors use the Site. Specifically, we run Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, both of which set cookies and report your activity on this Site back to those companies.

We also set one first-party cookie of our own that records how you first found us — for example the website that linked you here, or a campaign tag in the link you clicked. It records the source only, never who you are, and it is not shared with anyone. It lets us see which posts and links actually lead to orders. It lasts 90 days, and it is not set at all if you decline analytics cookies.

Your choices. You can change what you allow at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Declining turns off analytics and advertising cookies; essential cookies (cart, login, theme) always remain on because the Site cannot function without them.

If you are visiting from Canada, analytics and advertising stay switched off until you actively accept them, in line with PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25. If you are visiting from the United States, they are on by default and you may switch them off at any time using that same link.

We honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal everywhere. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising cookies without you having to do anything else. You can also control cookies through your browser settings directly.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, contact us at help@slicklickslabs.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

Marketing email: every marketing email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or by emailing help@slicklickslabs.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop order confirmations or shipping notifications, which you need in order to track what you bought.

California Residents: If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money, but our use of advertising cookies (see Cookies and Tracking) may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA. To opt out, email help@slicklickslabs.com with the subject line “Do Not Share My Personal Information” and we will suppress advertising identifiers associated with your email.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
